Central Government Schemes and Initiatives
Chauhan outlined several key Central Government schemes aimed at supporting farmers, such as the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Fasal Bima Yojana, Mechanization Scheme, PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, and Millet Production initiatives. He encouraged farmers to fully utilize these schemes, which offer financial assistance, insurance coverage, and access to modern agricultural tools.
Advocacy for Organic and Innovative Farming
Highlighting the detrimental impact of indiscriminate chemical use on soil and human health, the Minister urged farmers to transition towards organic farming practices. He also stressed the importance of adopting innovative farming techniques and moving away from traditional methods.

Chauhan underscored the pivotal role of ICAR-KVKs in bridging the gap between laboratory research and practical farming. He called on these centers to bring the latest technologies directly to the farmers’ doorsteps, ensuring that they are equipped to improve their productivity and sustainability.
