Three flour mills, rice shellers, oil expellers, and four masala/pulses grinders will be installed in the unit. The total cost of the project is Rs 73 lakh, and it has been approved through the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare's Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme.

Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Scheme is a supplement to all other state and federal government programmes. In addition to this financing facility, any grant or subsidy available under any current or future Central/State government scheme can be used for projects.

Farmers would be able to have their crop processed into wheat flour, maize flour, rice flour, mustard oil, and various masalas at a reasonable price. The society operates in the districts of Lambra, Kangri, Dudiana Kalan, and Baggewal.

"The unit will motivate farmers to cultivate other crops like mustard, turmeric, chillies, and pulses," said Jaswinder Singh, the society's project manager. Furthermore, crops will be processed at a lower cost than farmers currently pay outside. Raw material will be obtained from farmers. "The raw material will be expelled, ground, and milled by machines, and the finished product will be ready."

"We have a solid plan. First, the crop will be processed, and then it will be marketed," he added. "The unit will be built on 13 marla in Dudiana Kalan village. Tenders have been issued, and the process will be completed in a day or two."

He further said, “The society was established in 1920 by forefathers of Jaswinder Singh. Since then, it has been working for the welfare of the people in the area. Kahn Singh Pannu, IAS (retd), is currently in charge of the society."
