UPSC Recruitment 2023: 69 Vacancies Out! Check Eligibility and How to Apply

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced vacancies for various positions including Assistant Mining Engineer and Youth Officer. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website between March 25 and April 13, with a registration fee of Rs. 25.

In order to fill the positions of Assistant Mining Engineer, Youth Officer, and other positions, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an online call for applications. Starting on March 25, interested candidates can submit an online application at www.upsc.gov.in, the official website. March 13 to April 13 is the last day to submit an application.

UPSC Assistant Mining Engineer 2023: Vacancies

There are a total of 69 vacancies, divided as follows:

  1. Regional Director: 1

  2. Assistant Commissioner: 1

  3. Assistant Ore Dressing Office: 22

  4. Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence): 4

  5. Assistant Mining Engineer: 34

  6. Youth Officer: 7

UPSC Assistant Mining Engineer 2023: Application Fee

Candidates must pay a registration fee of Rs. 25. Candidates from any community who are SC/ST/PwBD/women do not need to pay anything.

UPSC Assistant Mining Engineer 2023: Steps to Apply

  1. Visit upsconline.nic.in to access the official website.

  2. Choose "ONLINE RECRUITMENT APPLICATION (ORA) FOR VARIOUS RECRUITMENT POSTS" from the site.

  3. Complete the application form.

  4. Attach supporting documentation, pay the cost, and submit the form.

  5. Print out a copy of the page for your records.

UPSC Assistant Mining Engineer 2023: Eligibility

Engineering degree in mining, mechanical, or drilling from a recognized university or institute, or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE).

In the event of candidates who are otherwise well qualified, qualifications may be relaxed at the Union Public Service Commission's discretion for reasons that must be documented in writing.

UPSC Assistant Mining Engineer 2023: Duties

  1. As a camp-in-charge, complete administrative and technical control over the drill unit.

  2. Careful use and maintenance, fixing and maintaining equipment and vehicles, paying road taxes, getting a fitness certificate, and starting an account for car parts, among other things.

  3. Drilling operation planning and supervision, indent raising, and store and account maintenance.

  4. Provisioning POL, pieces, dirt, etc.

  5. Survey reports for unusable stockpiles;

  6. Survey results.

  7. Reporting on drilling activities and returning to HQ

  8. Coordinating borehole allocation, closure, logging, etc. with local authorities and field geologists.
