A video of a man making a treadmill out of wood has gone viral on social media, garnering praise from industrialist Anand Mahindra and Telangana politician KT Rama Rao or KTR.

Anand Mahindra praised this man's work, calling it a "piece of art." In a world of commoditized, energy-hungry electronics, the love for craftsmanship, the hours of focused efforts in hand-making this equipment makes it a piece of art, not simply a treadmill," the industrialist remarked in a tweet.

"I want one..." Mahindra continued, expressing his desire to own the treadmill.

In a world of commoditised, energy hungry devices, the passion for craftsmanship, the hours of dedicated efforts in hand-making this device makes it a work of art, not just a treadmill. I want one…

"Wow!" wrote KTR about the treadmill maker "Two clapping hands emoticons are also included. "Please connect and help him scale up," he wrote, tagging the official Twitter handle of T- Works, a Telangana government initiative."

Wow! 👏👏  @TWorksHyd please connect & help him scale up https://t.co/FVgeHzsQx8

The man can be seen in the video patiently constructing the wooden blocks into the treadmill. The treadmill is a stationary workout machine that allows you to walk, run, or climb while staying in one spot. A moving platform with a large conveyor belt is provided by the equipment, which is powered by an electric motor or a flywheel.

The Mahindra Group chairman, who has more than 8.9 million Twitter followers, frequently tweets videos and photographs that pique his interest. On the social networking platform, he is one of the most engaged Indian business people. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honour, for the year 2020 in the area of trade and industry earlier this month.
