Weather Forecast India: Light to Moderate Rainfall with Thunderstorm Likely in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh & Maharashtra

According to latest weather reports, there will be light to moderate rainfall with few heavy spells over East and Central Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada & Coastal Karnataka in the next few hours. A Cyclonic Circulation is lying over Northwest Uttar Pradesh while another is over Saurashtra. From today onwards, the rainfall activities will increase in Marathwada, Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara, Wardha, Nanded, Hingoli, Beed and Jalna.

According to latest weather reports, there will be light to moderate rainfall with few heavy spells over East and Central Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada & Coastal Karnataka in the next few hours. A Cyclonic Circulation is lying over Northwest Uttar Pradesh while another is over Saurashtra. From today onwards, the rainfall activities will increase in Marathwada, Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara, Wardha, Nanded, Hingoli, Beed and Jalna.  

From tomorrow (22 August 2019), the rainfall activities will decrease in Marathwada, but, Vidarbha may continue to see a few good spells of rain.

Mumbai Rains

Rainfall in Mumbai will remain mainly light with warm and moist weather conditions. Similarly, no significant rain is expected in Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Nashik and Pune. Monsoon would stay subdued here for at least next 3 to 4 days.

Coming towards eastern and central part of India then here scattered light to moderate showers can be expected over states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

On the other hand, the weather in West Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir will be arid. The remaining parts of the country will witness scattered light rains with one or two moderate spells.

Weather in Delhi

In Delhi, more than 10,000 people have been evacuated as Yamuna river crosses danger mark. Over thousand people living in the low-lying regions along the Yamuna in the National Capital were shifted to safe places by government agencies as the river went above the danger mark on Monday. Delhiites can expect light rainfall in the weekend. 

The quality of air will be very poor over Northern, Eastern and Western parts of the country - mainly in cities like Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata.
