India is a tropical country with diverse climatic variations. Some places might see showers right now while some other places are chillier at the same time. That's why the weather patterns affect the regions differently.

Talking about the weather patterns for today in North India, dry weather will continue over the northern plains as the Western Disturbance has moved eastwards. As a result, north westerly winds are expected to continue over Northern plains leading to a temperature drop in minimums over the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. No rain has been forecasted in the northern plains and a sky will shine in the clear skies.

Parts of eastern India like coastal Odisha will receive light rains due to the formation of a confluence zone over the areas. Other East Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal are going to be drier today, however, a slight drop in temperature is also expected. Assam will have a cyclonic circulation, which will lead to rain in the state. The North-eastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, and Nagaland will receive light to moderate rains.

Speaking of Central India, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh are going to remain dry today. However cold winds will lower down the temperatures by one or two degrees.

In southern India, Southerly warm winds will blow across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and parts of Telangana. These areas will remain dry and the temperature is going to be above normal, leading to hot weather conditions.
