Weather Update: Heavy rain in the next two hours in Delhi; IMD issues Red Alert in Delhi, Mumbai & Other States and Union Territories

The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many districts of Delhi, Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh in the next two hours. Apart from this, rain along with thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places of Haryana between 22nd & 23rd July.

Heavy rain may occur in the next two hours in Delhi, IMD issues red alert

The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many districts of Delhi, Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh in the next two hours. Apart from this, rain along with thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places of Haryana between 22nd & 23rd July.

IMD Alerts Mumbai & other States & Union Territories

  • Heavy to very rainfall is likely to occur in Mumbai till 23rd IMD issued red alert in Mumbai for 21st & 22nd July. The intensity of rainfall is likely to reduce by 24th July.

  • Light to Moderate rainfall is likely to occur over the scattered places of Delhi in the next 24 hours.

  • Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy showers is likely to continue over the west coast & adjoining regions, and Gujarat in the next 4 to 5 days. Extremely heavy rains are likely to occur over Konkan, Goa & Ghat areas of central Maharashtra on 21st & 22nd

  • Fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls is likely to occur over the western Himalayan region, including Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and the adjoining northwest Indian states of Punjab & Uttar Pradesh. Although the intensity of rainfall has been predicted to reduce by 22nd July and it is likely to pick up by 25th July.

  • Fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls is likely to occur over east India and the adjoining central India between 21st & 24th Isolated heavy rains are likely to occur over Telangana & coastal Andhra Pradesh on 21st & 22nd July. The same weather condition is very likely in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh & east Madhya Pradesh on 22nd July.

  • Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh & Bihar will observe moderate to severe thunderstorm along with lightning in the next 24 hours.
