  • Budget 2023: No Tax on Income up to Rs 7 lakhs in New Tax Regime

    Nirmala Sitharaman, the union finance minister, announced five significant modifications to personal income tax on Wednesday, which will be a big relief to middle-class and salaried individuals. The country's "hard-working middle class," according to Sitharaman, who presented the Union Budget for FY 2023–2024, will principally benefit from the personal income tax measures. According to Sitharaman, the new income tax system will now be the default tax system. However, citizens will still be able to choose to benefit from the previous tax system.

  • Major Highlights of Union Budget 2023

    While presenting her fifth Union Budget, FM Nirmala Sitharaman said, "During the COVID pandemic, we ensured that nobody goes to bed hungry with a scheme to supply free foodgrains to over 80 crore persons for 28 months." She added that Indian economy is on the right track and heading towards a bright future. The efforts since 2014 have ensured all citizens, a better quality of life & life of dignity. The per capita income has more than doubled to Rs 1.97 lakh. In these 9 years, the Indian economy has increased in size from being 10th to 5th largest in the world.

     

  • APEDA Hosts Training Programme to Promote Millet Production in Jharkhand

    A one-day workshop and training programme was organized on Monday in Jharkhand’s Gumla district, a millet hub by the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). The motive was to motivate farmers to actively participate in the agriculture export industry of millets from the State. During the programme, around 50 proactive farmers from neighboring districts and licensed merchants from all across the State exchanged opinions. Other attendees at the meeting included representatives from the Agriculture Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra. District Agriculture Officer AK Sinha, NABARD DDM Ravishankar also participated in the training programme.

     

  • IFFCO-MC’s SASAGE- A Preventive and Affordable Fungicide for Farmers

    Fungicides are substances that either eliminate or stop the development of fungi and their spores. Fungicides have a variety of actions, but the major fungicides have a damaging effect on the membranes of fungi or prevent them to spread. Broad-spectrum fungicides are typically contact-based, multi-sited fungicides that are not only effective against diseases that are closely related to it, but also against pathogens that are unrelated to it. Contact fungicides only protect the plant where the spray is placed because they are not absorbed into the plant tissue.
