IMD Forecast: Heavy Rainfall Expected In The States In The Two Days
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) projected heavy rain in isolated areas along the south coast of Tamil Nadu during the next two days on Friday. A Western Disturbance will hit the Western Himalayan Region from 13 to 15 February 2022, while another will hit northwest India from 17 to 20 February 2022, according to the forecast. During the next 24 hours, dense fog is expected in isolated areas across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. During the night/morning hours of February 13-15, dense fog is predicted to dominate throughout Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi. In the lower troposphere, strong north easterly winds are predominant across coastal Tamil Nadu, and this is expected to continue for the next two days.

On Thursday, the Jammu and Kashmir government signed an MoU with New Zealand G2G, a public sector firm, to change the sheep farming sector in the Union Territory, and also inaugurated a rural home stay project in conjunction with Oyo Rooms.

Centre Says, PLI Scheme For Food Processing Formulated With Rs 10,900 Crore Outlay
Minister of State for Food Processing Prahlad Singh Patel stated in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha that the Ministry of Food Processing Industries has established the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program for the food processing industry with an outlay of Rs 10,900 crore. The initiative aims to improve India's industrial capabilities while also increasing exports.

Basmati Rice of India Exports Hit 4 Year Low As Iran Trims Buying
According to government and industry authorities, India's basmati rice exports fell by a fifth from a year before to the lowest level in four years in 2021, as key importer Iran cut purchases as its rupee reserves deteriorated. According to government data, basmati rice exports in 2021 plummeted 20% from the previous year to 4 million tonnes, the lowest level since 2017. According to the report, shipments to Iran, India's largest consumer of basmati rice, fell 26% year on year to 834,458 tonnes.
