  • PM Modi: India to Celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas as “Amrut Mahotsav”

    On 26th July Monday, Remembering the sacrifices & valour of heroes of the Kargil war, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Kargil war is the symbol of valour & discipline of our security forces, which entire world has witnessed. PM said that India will celebrate this day as the “Amrut Mahotsav”.

  • India’s Rudreswara Temple to be listed on UNESCO’s Word Heritage List

    India’s nomination of Rudreswara Temple, at Palampet, Mulugu district near Warangal in the state of Telangana. It has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. This decision was taken at 144th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO on 25th July Sunday.

     

  • Delhi: Metro Service halts after mild tremor on 26th July

    On 26th July Monday, the Delhi Metro Train service in the national capital were stopped briefly for precautionary measure as mild tremors were felt in Delhi. It was confirmed around 6.42 am in the Morning. As DMRC followed the Indian Railway Standards, Indian Road Congress, Indian Standards & other international standards and codes from countries which are highly earthquake prone. The Delhi Metro structures in capital and have been designed in such a manner that they can withstand the earthquake forces likely to occur in Zone 4 of seismic zones identified in India. The DMRC said that the metro services are now running normally.

  • Rakesh Tikait: Plans for Massive Tractor rally on 15th August

    On 25th July Sunday, Rakesh Tikait the leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union hailed the decision of carrying out the tractor parade in protest against Centre’s farm laws on 15th August Independence Day. Tikait said carrying out the tractor rally in not a ‘bad thing’ & driving tractor with a National Flag will increase the spirit of nationalism in people.

  • Education Minister launches “Nadi ko Jano” App

    On 25th July Sunday, The Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan launched an app called “Nadi ko Jano” during an online webinar, which was organized by Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal on the occasion of Vyaas Pooja Mahotsav. The event was hosted by Dr. Sachidananda Joshi, the President of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal to shed light on the role of Bharatiya ethos & teachers in the implementation of the New Education Policy.

     

  • No power supply in several areas of Bangalore from 26th July to 31st August

    The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited said there would be no power supply in several areas from 26th July to 31st August, as it would be installing the new MEI switchgear of Bank-1 & Bank-2 at 66/11kv Austin Town Sub-Station.

  • You can now apply for Passport at “India Post Office”

    People can now visit there India Post Offices to get their new passport. You can apply for it by visiting the Common Service Center counter of Post Office. Earlier one had to apply for passport at the Passport Service Centers, which is operated across the country by Ministry of External Affairs.

  • Himachal Pradesh: Heavy Boulders fell on Traveler tempo, 9 tourists were killed

    On 25th July Sunday, 9 tourists were killed after heavy boulders fell on tempo traveler in a landslide near Basteri in Kinnaur the district of Himachal Pradesh. There were multiple landslides triggered due to the recent rainfall occurred near Basteri on Sangla-Chitkul, resulting in a bridge collapse & damage to some of the vehicles.
