  • Agri Minister Tomar Inaugurates G-20 International Financial Architecture Working Group Meet

    Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Pashupati Kumar Paras, the Minister of Food Processing Industries, opened the two-day meeting of first International Financial Architecture Working Group of G-20 on Monday in Chandigarh. On the occasion, Tomar said that India is developing rapidly with science and innovation, both of which are deeply connected with the future of India. We have leveraged technology to create the digital public infrastructure.

     

  • Zimbabwe Trade Conference Held at Federation of India Exporters, New Delhi Today

    Zimbabwe India Trade Council on Monday (January 30) organized 'Zimbabwe Trade Conference' at the Federation of India Exporters, Niryat Bhavan Vasant Vihar in New Delhi. The Chief Guest of the event was Raj Kumar Modi, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Republic of Zimbabwe. During the conference, which was attended by many dignitaries from across the country, the Zimbabwe India Trade Council committed to assist both the countries in developing a strong partnership.

     

  • J&K Administration Approves Rs.146 Cr Project for Promotion of Niche Crops

    The government of Jammu and Kashmir has approved a prestigious project worth Rs 146 crore to promote niche crops as the UT's unique heritage, which will be implemented over the next five years. As per Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, "The project aims to diversify and expand the area of niche crops over an area of 11,100 hectares, ensuring livelihood security for 111,000 targeted beneficiaries and generating Rs. 2,238 crores in revenue."

     

  • FCI To Start Online Wheat Auction on February 1

    State-owned Food Corporation of India (FCI) said that it will begin a weekly e-auctioning on February 1 at a reserve price of Rs 2,350 per quintal including freight costs. FCI wants to sell 25 lakh tonnes of wheat to bulk buyers. In an effort to rein on soaring wheat and wheat flour prices, the government announced plans on Wednesday to sell 30 lakh tonnes of buffer wheat in the open market under the Open Sale Market Scheme (OMSS).

     

  • MP Government to Provide Rs 12,000 Annually to Women in the State

    Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister has announced that his administration will introduce a new programme providing Rs 1,000 per month to women from financially poor background in the state. It is worth mentioning that Assembly elections in MP will take place at the end of the year. As per the media reports, Chouhan while speaking at a function at the banks of the Narmada River in Narmadapuram city on Saturday said a total of Rs 60,000 crore will be spent on this initiative over the course of five years.
