New Sugarcane Variety- ‘Co86032’ Shown High Yield Potential During Farm Trials
During farm trials in Marayur, a new sugarcane variety showed a lot of promise. Sugarcane Co86032 has been found to be more resistant to drought and pest attacks, as well as having a higher yield. The project was carried out in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the State Haritha Kerala Mission.

The 12th Edition of "India Chem 2022" will be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from November 2 to November 3, 2022, and is being organized by the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers of the Government of India in collaboration with FICCI. The Department's flagship event, India Chem, which combines an international conference with an exhibition, is one of the biggest composite events in the Asia-Pacific region for the chemical industry.

The residents of Tripura's bio-villages received a welcome surprise on Sunday. They woke up to the news that PM Modi had praised them for their reliance on renewable energy sources to combat climate change. During Mann ki Baat program PM Modi stated “You must have heard about bio-villages, but some villages of Tripura have ascended to the level of bio-villages 2.0. A bio-village 2.0 emphasizes how to minimize the damage caused by natural disasters.

Jharkhand: 226 of 260 Blocks Drought-Hit; State to Seek Financial Assistance from Centre
The Jharkhand government declared 226 of the state's 260 blocks as drought-affected on Saturday and decided to provide a cash relief of Rs 3,500 to each affected farmer family, according to Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The decisions were made at a State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) meeting presided over by the chief minister.
