Check Result of ICAR ASRB NET-2018

On March 12, 2019, the Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) has announced the ICAR ASRB NET Result 2018, at asrb.org.in. The examination for the same was held from December 27 to 31, 2018. The candidates can login and check their result by entering the roll number and date of birth. On the basis of clearance the qualifiers will receive an eligibility certificate.

The candidates can login and check their result by entering the roll number and date of birth. On the basis of clearance the qualifiers will receive an eligibility certificate.

Candidates who had appeared for the exam can check the result at official icar.org.in, dare.nic.in and asrb.org.in.

How to Check ASRB NET Result 2018?

In order to check the result of ASRB NET 2018, the candidates will have to follow the steps as mentioned below:

  • Click on the link above.

  • It will take you to the login page.

  • Candidates then have to enter their Roll Number and Date of Birth in the provided space.

  • Hit the “Login” button.

  • Then the candidates will be able to see the result on the screen.

The candidates should check and download the result of ASRB NET 2018. They will be issued NET certificate separately but it advisable to keep a copy of the result as well.

ASRB NET Cut Off 2018

Only those candidates will qualify ASRB NET 2018 who will clear the cutoff marks. The cutoff is the pre-determined marks limit that the candidate must secure in order qualify the exam. The ASRB NET 2018 cutoff is as below:

You may view your Result of the National Eligibility Test NET (I) – 2018 conducted by the ASRB using your Roll Number and the Date of Birth (as entered in the Online Application Form)

How is ASRB NET Result 2018 Determined?

To announce the result, ASRB follows the process as below:

Calculation of Score on the Basis of Marking Scheme – First of all, the scores of the candidates will be determined on the basis of the marking scheme, i.e.

  • Total number of questions – 150

  • Marks per question – 1

  • Negative marking – 1/3

The following formula will be used to evaluate the marks:

Total marks = (Number of correct answers x 1) – (Number of incorrect answers x 1/3)

Then the system will round off marks to the next higher integer in case of 0.5 and above and to the immediate lower integer in case of 0.4 and below.

Comparison of the Marks with Cutoff – Next, the calculate marks of the candidates will be compared with the cutoff score. Candidates scoring above cutoff will be termed qualified.

What After ASRB NET II Result 2018

NET Certificate – Once the result has been announced, the qualified candidates will be issued NET Certificates. The certificate will be issued by ASRB. The Board will be sent it directly to the registered residential address of the candidates. The candidates should expect the issuance of it after 3 months from the date of release.

Apply for Lecturer / Assistant Professorship – The qualified candidates will also be able to apply for teaching jobs in Agricultural Universities (AUs) and State Agricultural Universities (SAUs). Candidates will have to produce the ASRB NET Qualified Certificate during the recruitment.
