Bhopal is all in the news again, probably for the wrong reasons!
Concerns are being raised with respect to the Covaxin phase 3 trials going in Bhopal, a city of Madhya Pradesh and known across the globe for the unfamous Union Carbide Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984.
Ethical irregularities are being cited as human volunteers for the trials involve approximately 700 Bhopal gas tragedy survivors out of the total 1700 volunteers selected.
Some of the former volunteers are reported to have expired within days of receiving the vaccine, as stated by the Bhopal Gas PeeditMahila Bhopal Gas PeeditMahilaKaramchari Stationary Sangh.
