In a remarkable achievement, Syngenta Foundation India (SFI) has been honored with the prestigious FICCI award in the "Sustainable Farmer Income Enhancement" category for the second time, solidifying its commitment to sustainable practices and the enhancement of Small Holder Farmers' income. This recognition underscores the organization's impactful agri-entrepreneurship model, marking a milestone in their relentless pursuit of elevating farmers' livelihoods. 

The award serves as a testament to SFI's unwavering dedication to championing sustainability in agriculture, promising a brighter and more prosperous future for Indian farmers. SFI’s AE model has been well tested and working since 2014 in 14 states across India, SFI has created over 16,000 Agri Entrepreneurs since then touching over 1.4 million smallholder farmers. The program aims to create over 100,000 AEs across India by 2030 to impact over 10-12 million SHFs.

Syngenta Foundation India (SFI)

SFI's mission was to have small and marginal farmers participate in agricultural development by improving their access to better seeds and other inputs, increasing their knowledge of agronomic practices, establishing ease of access to credit, and providing systematic market linkages. The main objective has remained to educate small and marginal farmers on the latest developments suited to their local needs, and thus ultimately improve their income.
