Big News ! Central Government Employees to Get Higher Educational Benefits under 7th Pay Commission; Know How to Claim for It

The Central Government Employees are demanding for an increase in the fitment factor and basic minimum pay. Though, their demand is yet to be fulfilled by the Centre. Meanwhile, the government has declared five-fold increased incentives for its employees who have got a higher education degree during their service in any department under the government of India.

As per the notification released a one-time incentive of up to Rs 30,000 will be provided to those who fulfill all the criteria under the latest 7th Pay Commission recommendations. Adding to it, a government circular has been released saying that Central Government employees can now claim their incentives if they fulfill the higher educational criteria set by the government for being eligible to get the incentives.

How CG employees can claim the incentives?

CG Employees who have a P.hD degree or equivalent certificate will be given Rs 30,000 under the government’s 7th Pay Commission latest recommendations. For those who clear PG Degree or Diploma course of duration one year above or equivalent will get Rs 25,000. Also, for those who pursue a PG Degree or Diploma of duration one year or less or equivalent will get Rs 20,000 as incentives.

Besides, there are incentives for employees who have a Degree or diploma of more than three years in any subject will get 15,000 as incentives. Whereas, those who acquire a Degree or diploma of a duration of three years or less or equivalent will get 10,000 as incentives.

It is to be noted that, employees need to submit their education qualification details in the respective departments according to the guidelines of the organisation or department they are working in.
