The schedule for the 68th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination was recently declared by the Bihar Public Service Commission. The test is scheduled for February 12. Exam candidates can review the announcement at bpsc.bih.nic.in or onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.

The commission also said that the admit card will be made available on January 28. From 12 to 2 PM, the exam will be conducted in a single shift. It will be conducted in 805 exam locations spread over 38 districts.
The number of openings for the position of Assistant Disaster Management Officer in the Disaster Management Department has recently increased by 43, bringing the total to 324.
The commission also disclosed some important changes to the exam format. According to the revised marking scheme, every question in the preliminary test will now carry a penalty. "All 150 questions should get uniformly negative marking. There will be one mark given for a right answer in this situation and -1/4th for a wrong answer,” according to the BPSC.
This means, applicants will receive 1 point for each correct response, while 0.25 marks will be subtracted for each incorrect answer. Additionally, the optional paper will carry only 100 marks, instead of 300 like the Mains examination.

The list of applicants who were disqualified to take the 68th CCE Preliminary test was made public by the Commission on January 20, 2023. 771 applicants in total were disqualified from the 68th combined (Prelims) competitive examination.
