Additionally, it is estimated that the market will reach US$ 118.2 Billion by 2028 by IMARC Group.

With the increase in the industry, the Indian Government has stepped in with the launch of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The platform was launched in September 2022, and six months after its launch, it is gaining popularity among Indians.

According to reports, the platform is receiving 10,000+ orders per day. Not only this, many customers are sharing screenshots, comparing the price of food delivered by ONDC and other food delivery platforms in India. Based on the shared screenshot, the cost of ONDC food delivered is quite cheaper than others.

How To Place Food Order From ONDC

In order to place your food order with ONDC, you are required to use its partner apps like Magicpin, Paytm, Mystore, Spice Money, and Pincode, among others. Currently, ONDC’s food ordering facility is available in Delhi and Bangalore. Soon, the Indian Government is likely to introduce its availability in different regions of PAN India.

What is ONDC?

An Open Network for Digital Commerce in food delivery allows for easier collaboration among various companies involved in the food delivery process. The network would enable restaurants to easily connect with multiple delivery services, allowing them to expand their reach without having to work with each delivery platform separately. Delivery services would also benefit from this network, enabling them to streamline their operations and gain access to a larger pool of restaurants.

Customers would benefit from having a wider variety of food options available for delivery, as well as a more seamless and secure payment process. The network could also incorporate features such as real-time tracking and updates on the delivery status for the customer's convenience.

Overall, an open network for digital commerce in food delivery aims to improve the efficiency and convenience of the food delivery process for all parties involved, ultimately leading to a better customer experience.
