JNU Admissions 2019 Begins; Check Eligibility Criteria, Fee Details & Important Dates

The Jawaharlal Nehru University conducts its Entrance Test (JNUEE) every year for admission to various undergraduate as well as post graduate courses. JNU 2019 eligibility criteria for different courses vary depending upon the selection of the course. Hence students are advised to check the same before applying for it. For few courses, JNU conducts a selection process for admission that includes a viva-Voce test after the written entrance exam. While for most of the courses, admission is done through online examination.

JNU 2019 Eligibility Criteria

1. BA (Hons) 1 year -12th or equivalent exam with minimum 45% marks. Appearing candidates can also apply.

2. BA (Hons) 2 year – 1st year bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum 45 percent marks. Students must have adequate proficiency in the concerned language.

3. MA in Persian, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Chinese and French - Bach. Degree or equivalent in any stream with minimum 60 percent (general), 55 percent (OBC), 45 percent (SC/ST) marks.

4. MA in Economics - Bach. degree or equivalent in any stream with at least 50 percent marks. Should have knowledge of 10+2 level Maths.

5. M.Sc in Life Sciences - B.Tech/ B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Biological, Physical or Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology with at least 55 percent marks.

6. MCA - Bach. degree in any discipline with good knowledge of maths. Minimum 55 percent marks is essential.

7. M.Tech in Statistical Computing – should have master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research or any branch of Science. Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering.

8. M.Tech in Computer Science and Technology - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research in any branch of Science, any branch of Engineering, MCA with at least 55 percent marks. P.G. students of AYUSH related subjects can also apply.

  • Applicants can pay the application fee via online mode only.

  • Payment can be made with credit card, debit card & net banking.

  • Firstly, students should collect all the details about the officially prescribed curriculum.

  • Then it is important to prepare a time-table for preparation of JNU Exam 2019.

  • After that practice from the best reference books & study materials available in the market.

  • In addition practice from previous year question papers to know about the exam pattern.

  • Last but not the least, make short notes and revise them before the exams.
