Bhartiya Kisan Union will march to Delhi on 21 April 2021 against the Centre's three farm bills. Farmers, women, tribals, unemployed people, and socially disadvantaged groups would also participate in the protest.

According to a report, the farmer union leaders said that apart from farmers, women, tribals, unemployed people, and socially disadvantaged groups would also participate in the march.

The farmer union leaders claim, the march will be the answer to the central government as well as critics who believe that the presence of farmers at different protest sites in Delhi have thinned because of the crop harvest season.

Apart from BKU (EU), many other Punjab-based farmer unions have also started planning for the march to Delhi, which will also pave the way for the proposed march to Parliament, the statement said.

Kul Hind Kisan Sabha, a farmer union, is conducting farmer meets at the village level to attract more people to participate in the protest in Delhi.

"Rumours are being spread that farmers have started leaving the protest sites. Farmers have not lost hope and will leave their villages on April 21 after the harvest season. We will implement whatever directions will be issued by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha," said Karmvir Kaur Mahewhwari, a woman activist of Kul Hind Kisan Sabha.

Another farmer leader from the same union, Surat Singh Dharmkot, also said that while farmers have returned to their villages from the protest in Delhi; they will come back once the harvest season is over.

Dharmkot added, “this is not to say that the farmers have closed the protest sites in Delhi. Farmers are regularly going to Delhi on a rotational basis. Those back home are helping them so that their families do not face difficulty in harvesting the crops”.
