The Plant Based Foods Industry Association (PBFIA) will host the 2nd Plant-Based Foods Summit on May 25, 2023, with support from the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).

The event will take place at Hotel Le Meridien in Windsor Place, New Delhi, and is expected to attract prominent figures from the plant-based foods industry.

Several distinguished dignitaries will join the summit, including Beeda Mastan Rao Yadhav, Member of Parliament; Mercy Eapos, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Dr. Sudhanshu, Secretary, APEDA; Jim Sutter, CEO, U.S. Soybean Export Council; Jasmijn De Boo, CEO, Proveg International; Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, Indian Chamber of Commerce; Atul Mulay, President, Praj Industries, and many other thought leaders. Their presence underscores the significance of the summit and highlights the growing importance of the plant-based foods industry.

At the summit, attendees will have the opportunity to visit an exhibition showcasing a diverse range of plant-based foods from various companies and start-ups. The exhibition aims to promote and celebrate the rapidly expanding plant-based foods industry, both in India and internationally. Participating companies include Continental Greenbird, Nutricircle, Brenntag, Sanitech Engineers, Blue Tribe Foods, Vezlay, Pall Corporation, Shaka Harry, Evolved Foods, and many others. Exhibitors will have the chance to showcase their products, network with industry players, and explore potential collaborations with investors and partners.

The conference component of the summit will feature immersive sessions with keynote speakers, policymakers, representatives from the HoReCa community (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering), academia, and industry experts. These sessions will provide valuable insights into the latest trends, innovations, and the future of the plant-based foods industry. Participants can expect to gain valuable knowledge, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and gain inspiration for their own ventures.

An exciting highlight of the summit is the 'Pitch Perfect' Investors Show, where companies will have the opportunity to present their brands to potential investors in the plant-based foods sector. This global platform will enable entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and secure funding for their businesses. To add a delicious touch to the summit, renowned chefs such as Chef Dr. Gautam Chaudhry, Chef Sanjay Agarwal, Chef Anirudh Sethi, Chef Bharat Khemani, Chef Somnath Porel, and Chef Tarun Kumar will present 'The Live Cooking Demo.' These talented chefs will showcase innovative plant-based recipes, offering inspiration and new product ideas to attendees.

The summit will also include the PBFIA Awards Ceremony, where individuals and companies making outstanding contributions to the plant-based industry will be recognized and celebrated. This ceremony provides a platform for participants to gain recognition for their hard work and accomplishments.
