The National Ayush Mission (NAM) is the Ministry of Ayush's flagship program, which, in collaboration with state and union territory governments, aims to transform the health and wellness landscape across the country. The two-day conclave intends to foster better coordination among stakeholders and strengthen the functioning of Ayush Health Wellness centers (AHWCs).

Health and Ayush Ministers from various states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, as well as representatives from Jammu & Kashmir, will be present at the conclave.

Notable attendees will also include Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brajesh Pathak, Minister of State for Ayush, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, and other officials from the Ministry of Ayush. Additionally, the Ministry of Ayush will use this occasion to launch an ICT initiative.

Throughout the conclave, experts from participating states will engage in discussions on various aspects of the National Ayush Mission (NAM), focusing on improving budget absorption under the program, institutionalizing enhanced execution methods, ensuring a better supply of medicines to Ayush Health Facilities, building the capacity of Ayush practitioners, upgrading AHWCs, bolstering the education ecosystem in Ayush, and integrating technology for research and quality assurance in public Ayush healthcare.

The Ministry of Ayush's mission has always been to strengthen the public health and welfare system by integrating the Ayush system. The National Ayush Mission, launched in 2014, has played a pivotal role in preserving and promoting India's traditional systems of medicine and integrating them into the mainstream healthcare system.

Its objective is to enhance the availability, accessibility, and quality of Ayush healthcare services throughout the country, primarily through Ayush Health Wellness centers (AHWCs), as part of the Government of India's Ayushman Bharat scheme. The NAM encompasses Ayush Services, Ayush Educational Institutions, and newly introduced Ayush Public Health Programs.

The Union Cabinet has approved the operationalization of 12,500 Ayush Health and Wellness Centers (HWCs) by upgrading existing Ayush Dispensaries/Health Sub-centers through State/UT Governments, in a phased manner, under the National Ayush Mission (NAM) as part of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme. Currently, more than 8,500 AHWCs have been established across India and are actively serving the communities.
