Weather Today: After Rainfall Temperature in These States Will Rise, Thunderstorm Likely in Other Parts

Weather in India in the past few days has been very unpredictable. Last week’s heavy rainfall along with hailstorm had destroyed several crops in Northern India.

Weather in India in the past few days has been very unpredictable. Last week’s heavy rainfall along with hailstorm had destroyed several crops in Northern India.

Weather department says that a frail Western Disturbance is visible over Jammu & Kashmir therefore places like Srinagar, Sonmarg, Dharamshala and Dalhousie could witness rain and thunderstorm. Due to this the morning temperatures are likely to rise in the hilly regions. On the other hand, strong surface northwesterly winds are likely to blow over northern plains like Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh & North Rajasthan. Slow rise in day temperatures is also expected.

Coming towards eastern part of the country, dry winds might blow over Bihar, Jharkhand & Gangetic West Bengal. Due to a small trough over Odisha coast, there could be isolated thunderstorm activity along the coast in the next 24 hours.

According to weather department, a Cyclonic Circulation is marked over Assam and neighboring Arunachal Pradesh. A trough can be seen coming from Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim towards Arunachal Pradesh. As a result, scattered rainfall along with thundershowers is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & few places over the remaining parts in the region.

The weather in Central part of India will continue to remain dry and warm. An Anti-Cyclone has build over North Arabian Sea & dry northerly winds are likely to blow over the area. During the next 48 hours, there could be significant rise in the day temperatures and weather will remain dry s well as warm in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh & Vidarbha.

Ahmedabad, Surat, Gandhinagar, Ratlam, Ujjain, Jalgaon, Mumbai coast will also remain dry and warm. In addition, there could be a slow rise by 3-5 degrees in day temperatures in next 48 hours.

Now coming towards South India, a Cyclonic Circulation is lying over Interior Karnataka thus isolated thunderstorm activity is possible over South Kerala, south Tamil Nadu & North Andhra Pradesh coast. Also temperatures will continue to remain above normal in all these areas. Telangana and Rayalaseema would continue to experience uneasy weather conditions.
