Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana 2020: Considering the woes of farmers of India, the Central Government has launched ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana 2020’. Under this scheme, the government provides 20 to 50 percent subsidy to farmers for purchasing new tractors.
Objective of the scheme
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the objective to help the farmers. The central government believes that if a farmer has sufficient resources for agriculture, then this will not only speed up growth and development in the sector but will also improve the economic conditions of farmers and increase their income.
What are the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana?
In this financial year (2020-21) also, the government will provide subsidy to buy tractors to farmers. The most important thing about this yojana is that the farmer can buy a tractor of any company and that too in half the price.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Scheme has been launched basically for the marginal and small farmers in India.
Under this scheme farmer can buy tractor of any brand available in the market. The scheme has been implemented in every state of the country.
Farmers are given loans to buy tractors along with subsidies.
Farmers can register online to avail the scheme. Separate website has been developed for the scheme by the states. Farmers can also apply for tractor yojana by visiting the nearest CSC center.
The benefits of the scheme will be given to the farmers soon after registration in their bank account.
A farmer can buy only one tractor and women farmers are given priority in this scheme.
Farmers joining this scheme should not be involved in any other agricultural machine subsidy scheme.

How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana
Farmers can apply online as well as offline to avail the benefit of this scheme. All they need to do is go to Agriculture Department or Nearest CSC centre. At common service centre, take the application form and fill all the information asked in it like name, address etc. Then attach all your documents with the application form and submit it there.
