Know the Health Benefits of Pineapple

Pineapple is a sweet fruit that everyone loves. Pineapple is also used to make slices and juices. No one refuses a cold pineapple juice in the summer. The fact that it is relatively cheaper than other fruits also makes pineapple popular.

Pineapple is a sweet fruit that everyone loves. Pineapple is also used to make slices and juices.  No one refuses a cold pineapple juice in the summer. The fact that it is relatively cheaper than other fruits also makes pineapple popular. Pineapple is also used in curries and wines. There are many other things we do not know about pineapple. Let's see what they are.

Pineapple is at the forefront in terms of medicinal properties. Pineapple contains many elements such as calcium, sodium, magnesium and miamine. Edible jam, jelly and squash are also produced from pineapple. 

Benefits of Pineapple

Pineapple is good for digestion.  The bromhexine in it speeds up digestion.  Pineapple is good for kidney disease because it contains a lot of potassium.

Smokers can reduce the risk of smoking if they eat pineapple.  Vitamin C is another nutrient found in pineapple.  Wine made from pineapple is very popular.  Some types of pineapples are also used to make folk liquor.

Pineapple is said to be a remedy for whooping cough and heart disease.  Unripe pineapple is good for heart disease.

Pineapple is often added to puddings and biryani.  Pineapple curry is a great addition to any wedding feast in Kerala.  Pineapple can be eaten by everyone regardless of age.  Pineapple is eaten with honey, sugar, chilli powder and salt.  All of this is great for relieving fatigue.  Eating two or three pieces of pineapple after a meal helps in proper digestion.

Pineapple can be grown as an intercrop in our country.  If pineapple is grown along with other crops, the income can be doubled.
