Navin Fluorine Q4 PAT tumbles 73% YoY to Rs 73 crore 

On a consolidated basis, Navin Fluorine International net profit dropped 72.9% to Rs 73.22 crore on 21.6% rise in net sales to Rs 336.43 crore in Q4 March 2021 over Q4 March 2020. On a consolidated basis, profit before tax (PBT) soared 76.1% to Rs 110.71 crore in Q4 FY21 from Rs 62.88 crore in Q4 FY20. Meanwhile, the board has also approved the re-appointment of Vishad P. Mafatlal, as executive chairman, designated as chairman of Navin Fluorine International, for a further term of five years from 20 August 2021.

HELM Argentina, Terragene signed agreement to launch innovative product 

HELM Argentina signed an agreement with the company Terragene to develop and commercialize products with microorganisms and intelligent biomolecules for crop protection. Mauro Edalian,  General Manager of HELM Argentina said “Our goal is to provide the agricultural producer with innovative and effective solutions that guarantee the performance of his production and at the same time contribute to the care of the environment. 

ICRISAT Governing  Board concludes its 3rd  Virtual  Board Meeting 

ICRISAT Governing Board recently concluded its 98th board meeting, the third virtual board meeting since the Covid-19 pandemic began. The Board deliberated on the pandemic to find ways to shield smallholder farmers from its fallout, prevent worsening of the food security situation in vulnerable regions and to continue the Institute’s mission while keeping its staff safe. 

Prof Prabhu Pingali, Chair, ICRISAT Governing Board, said, the pandemic has given the Institute  important lessons in food security threats and will shape the way we move ahead. One of the  implications for agricultural research and other systems working for food security in drylands is that the  funding support has reduced due to the  increased demand for resources to fight against the virus.

ITC is supporting hospitals in Telangana with life-saving #medicaloxygen 

 In these tough times the ITC is supporting hospitals in Telangana with life-saving medical oxygen from its paperboards manufacturing unit at Bhadrachalam. Over 100 MT of liquid oxygen has already been supplied to the nearby hospitals and more will be supplied in the coming days.
