Prime Minister Narendra Modi's State visit to Egypt has played a vital role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between India and Egypt.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his successful State visit to Egypt and the United States on Sunday as he emplaned for India. During his visit, PM Modi engaged in a series of high-level meetings and signed key agreements, bolstering bilateral relations between the countries.

On Sunday, PM Modi held a significant meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, where they both signed an agreement to elevate the bilateral relationship to a "Strategic Partnership." The leaders discussed various avenues to deepen the partnership between India and Egypt, including trade, investment, defense, security, renewable energy, and cultural exchanges. Furthermore, three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between the two nations, focusing on agriculture, archaeology and antiquities, and competition law.

According to a tweet by Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, it was stated that a productive meeting had been held between PM Narendra Modi and President Alsisi in Cairo on 25 June 2023. During the meeting, the leaders discussed various ways to further deepen the partnership between the two countries, including trade and investment, defense and security, renewable energy, as well as cultural and people-to-people ties.

Additionally, an agreement to elevate the bilateral relationship to a 'Strategic Partnership' was signed by the leaders, and three MoUs were also signed in the fields of Agriculture, Archaeology & Antiquities, and Competition Law.

As a gesture of high regard, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi honoured PM Modi with the prestigious 'Order of Nile,' the highest state honour of Egypt. During his visit, PM Modi also took the opportunity to visit the historic Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo, expressing his honor and appreciation for Egypt's rich heritage and culture.

In a poignant tribute, PM Modi visited the Heliopolis War Cemetery, where he paid homage to the Indian soldiers who made supreme sacrifices during the First World War. On Saturday, PM Modi engaged in a roundtable meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Mostafa Madbouly, in Cairo. He also had interactions with prominent thought leaders in Egypt as part of his two-day visit to the Arab nation.

PM Modi held a fruitful discussion with Hassan Allam, the CEO of Hassan Allam Properties, one of the largest Egyptian companies operating in the Middle East and North African region. The meeting explored possibilities of closer cooperation between Indian companies and Hassan Allam in the fields of renewable energy and green hydrogen.

Arindam Bagchi shared on Twitter that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with Mohamed Medhat Hassan Allam, the CEO of Hassan Allam Properties in Cairo, Egypt. According to Bagchi, PM Narendra Modi had a productive discussion with Hassan Allam, who is the CEO of Hassan Allam Holding Company, one of the largest Egyptian companies functioning in the Middle East and North African region.

Upon his arrival in Egypt, PM Modi was greeted with enthusiasm by the Indian community present at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Cairo. They welcomed him with resounding chants of 'Vande Mataram' and 'Modi Modi.' The Indian diaspora exhibited their fervour by waving the Tricolor, singing Indian songs, and organizing cultural programs to celebrate PM Modi's visit.
