The agriculture minister while talking to the media said that farmers must use latest technology to increase their productivity and profit. Tomar lauded Haryana, claiming that it is a state that leads the nation in horticulture and crop output.

In order to produce higher-quality produce today, farmers must cultivate new crops and use cutting-edge technologies. The fact that Haryana farmers and the Haryana government are utilizing such cutting-edge agricultural techniques, he continued, brings him immense pleasure.

Tomar claimed that the Narendra Modi-led federal government is devoted to raising farmers' incomes. Over the past eight years, the government has launched a number of initiatives, and the results are beginning to show.

On Thursday evening, he was giving a speech at the opening of 30 integrated pack houses throughout the state in the village of Aterna in Sonipat, Haryana. JP Dalal, the minister of agriculture and farmers' welfare for Haryana, attended the event as well.

The minister opened 30 integrated pack houses that had been set up throughout the state before praising the initiatives the Haryana government had started for the benefit of farmers.

He claimed that Farmer Producer Organizations in Haryana are establishing 30-pack houses around the state. The minister added that this project will transform Haryana's reputation in the horticulture industry while stating that the Haryana government is actively working to establish 500 pack houses in the state.

The agricultural product can be temporarily stored, cleaned, graded, and packed in a "pack house," which is noteworthy.

Additionally, he stated that the Centre has been advancing farmers' interests. Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the central government has transferred 2.17 lakh crore into the accounts of farmers for their benefit.

Tomar claimed that despite challenging circumstances like the Covid epidemic and farmer-friendly government initiatives, agricultural exports from India reached Rs 3.75 lakh crore.

He added we must maintain the caliber of our agricultural output and make sure it complies with international norms.

The minister remarked that despite the lockdown, all agricultural activities like sowing, harvesting, marketing, etc. continued uninterrupted and Agri growth remained positive. The minister said that our agriculture sector is very strong and has stood tall even in challenging situations like the Covid pandemic.

The initiatives taken by the state government are laudable, Tomar continued, adding that Haryana is a leader in agricultural production and the horticulture industry as well. He said that the Haryana government is collaborating closely with the federal government and overseeing the execution of federal programmes.

A number of state-level programmes for the welfare of farmers have also been launched in Haryana.

JP Dalal, the state's agriculture minister, said the state has launched a variety of programmes for farmers' welfare while speaking at the event.

He claimed that at a cost of Rs 10,000 crore, a large vegetable market will be built in Ganaur, covering 550 acres. Thousands of individuals will benefit from this in terms of work chances.
