India is going to mark the fifth anniversary of the historic tax reform viz. Goods and Services Tax (GST) on July 1, 2022. The GST Council during the five-year journey of GST has proved to be an extremely effective and powerful decision-making federal institution.
During this journey, the endeavour of the GST Council has been to plug evasion, simplify compliance and procedures and proactively provide due support to the businesses to deal with disruptions caused by the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.
To deliberate on the road ahead towards GST 2.0 and discuss the concerns of the industry under GST regime, FICCI is planning to organize a GST Conclave “Stride towards GST 2.0 - Five Years of GST” on July 8, 2022.
