The annual Joint HADR Exercise is the result of the Prime Minister's instruction issued during the combined commanders conference-2O'15. The exercise is led/coordinated in rotation by the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy.
The Indian Navy is the Lead Service for the 2023 Annual Joint HADR Exercise (AJHE), and Headquarters Western Naval Command (HOWNC) has been designated as the Nodal Command. Participants in the exercise would include representatives from the NDMA, NDRF, MoD, MEA, HQ|DS, lA, lAF, CG, IMD, FICCI, and different government and state agencies.
In addition, observers from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) are expected to attend. From 10 to 11 October 2023, FICCI and the Indian Navy will co-host the HADR Industry Display at INS Hansa in Goa.
